Worried about Liv

I know I'm stressing for nothing, but I can't help it  :sigh

Liv's been feeling cruddy for a few days now...low grade fever for one day, sore throat, bit of a cough (really not bad at all), and really, really tired (Thurs & Fri she came home from school and fell asleep on the couch - this is always a major indicator to me she isn't feeling well)

All that aside, what REALLY worries me is that, since she's been ill, she's felt several 'stabs' (that's how she describes it when she feels her pacer kick in)  Now, she HAS felt this in the past, but like maybe once every 2-3mths...definitely not a frequent thing like this.  Also, when she'd felt in the past I did bring it up to her Cardio/EP and he said it was totally normal & some kids DO feel their pacer (some don't) and we should actually take comfort in knowing it means the pacer is working.  I know this, but I'm worried about the fact it's doing it so frequently.  When she had problems in the past and fainted/had seizures it was always when she was sick.  Illnesses weaken her enough that it puts stress on her heart and causes these problems.  I KNOW it's irrational, but I'm terrified something will happen and her pacer will stop working :cry

Stellar Kart

Ariana and her friends are fans of the band Stellarkart so we'll be checking out their concert tonight in Willow Springs :)

Lots to be thankful for!

Following my post yesterday in re: to posting something I am thankful for each day...Today I am going to post TWO things, because I can ;)

I'm so thankful my 2yo is fully potty trained & we no longer have to buy Pull-Ups! He was only using them at night & in the car, but has been doing GREAT! No night time accidents in 4 nights & he slept in underwear last night! (I can't remember the last time he had a day time accident) So proud of my big boy ♥

I am thankful for UPS *finally* delivering to my house & that they delivered my new, replacement steamer!! WAHOOOOO!  Let's hope this one holds up to our family of 10 & my OCDness. LOL

What are YOU thankful for?

I challenge you to make a conscious effort to count your blessings this month.  This is something I try to do on a daily basis, but putting it out there for others to see :)

Nov 1st:  I am thankful for my wonderful husband.  He is such a great provider for our family.  He is a devoted husband & father.

Nov 2nd:  I am thankful for my amazing children.  All 8 of them are healthy, smart, gorgeous, wonderful.  They are all just really great kids and I thank God every day for placing them in our lives.  We are so blessed.

Nov 3rd: I am thankful for my loving and giving Mother-in-law & Father-in-law.  They are always more than willing to help out in any way possible.  They love spending time with their grandchildren & they are never a burden to them.  They genuinely love being as involved as possible & we enjoy every moment we spend with them.

Yummy dinner!

I can't wait for tonight's yummy dinner!  I decided to turn our 'rotisserie chicken in the crock pot recipe' into a 'rotisserie turkey in crock pot' recipe.  I have a feeling it's going to be DELICIOUS!!

Great weekend!

We had a wonderful holiday weekend!

We left around 2 on Friday afternoon & headed for Gpa & Gma's house. We got there, grabbed some pizza & headed into Salon Truth so that I could FINALLY use the gift certificate Kevin had given me for Mother's Day. I got my hair cut & my eyebrows waxed, and even had a little $ leftover!

The result...

I'd definitely like to go way more often than I do, it's just hard to justify the time & $. It's amazing how much better a quick trip to the salon can make you feel!

After the salon, we stopped to pick up new gloves for everyone & headed back to Gpa & Gma's.

We visited for a little bit and then hit the hay because we had an EARLY morning!

The grandparents decided they'd rather stay at home with some of the little ones, rather than brave the cold, so around 7am Kevin, Ariana, Savannah, Olivia, Layla & I headed into Springfield to get Ariana to her drop off point for the MSU parade.

My beautiful clarinet player...

I'm still trying to get over the fact that she's marching with the high school band!

It was a little chilly, but the sun was shining and it was a gorgeous morning!

Here are the kiddos waiting for the parade to start...

And then, there came the Eminence Redwings Marching Band...

They sounded GREAT & took 1st place in all three areas - WTG REDWINGS!!!

After the parade we headed back to the grandparents & the rest of the kids. We enjoyed lunch with them & got on the road and headed off to our BIG HALLOWEEN SURPRISE!

The kids all yelled, and whooped, and hollered when they realized where we were going...

SIX FLAGS!!!

We had a wonderful time :)
